3 February 2012 - Flooding in QLD and NSW

TNT wishes to notify customers that heavy rainfall and resulting floods are impacting a number of regional areas in Queensland and New South Wales today.

At present, wide spread road closures and high water levels are preventing TNT from servicing areas in and around:

  • Mt Isa (QLD)
  • Thargomindah  (QLD)
  • Quilpie (QLD)
  • Aurgathella  (QLD)
  • Blackhall  (QLD)
  • Mitchell  (QLD)
  • Cunnamulla  (QLD)
  • Charleville (NSW)
  • Moree (NSW)
  • Wee Waa (NSW)

Road closures are also hindering freight from travelling in and out of Roma and St George in Queensland and some parts of Narrabri in New South Wales.

Contingency plans have been deployed and TNT will endeavour to deliver freight where possible. However, we anticipate delays will persist for another 24-48 hours.

Customers are advised to visit TNT’s online track and trace system for up to date information pertaining to specific consignments. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and we will continue to provide regular updates as the situation develops.
